In order to achieve this aim, MLM has a Quality Management System in place that has gained ongoing ISO 9001 : 2008 certification since 2005. We seek to continually develop and improve the effectiveness of our Quality Management System by constantly reviewing our performance for the benefit of our customers.
As a company, MLM recognises climate change as a serious global issue and actively seeks to reduce the company's impact on the environment.
Since 2011 MLM has been working towards reducing its carbon footprint through the Carbon Smart programme. To date we have reduced our carbon footprint by over 9% (2.9 tonnes CO2e), down to 26.3 tonnes CO2e. In January 2013 MLM achieved the Carbon Smart Silver certification.
In early 2014, MLM decided to set up an Environmental Management System and recently gained ISO 14001 : 2004 certification. This system aims to further review our energy consumption, the management of waste and the use of natural resources.
